An outstanding performance from Slazenger third's front line gained them a convincing win over York. Man of the match Richard Whawell led the way with two superb scoring strikes. In a highly entertaining match between two evenly matched sides, Slazenger thirds and visitors City of York 5th's, a 1-1 draw was probably the fairest result. Slazenger moved the ball around nicely in the first half against York and had the best chance of the game, but failed to make it count.
