Slazengers' under-12 boys A team missed out on qualifying from the In2Hockey West Yorkshire tournament despite scoring eight goals in their last two games. A slow start to the five-team round-robin competition ultimately proved their downfall as the Slaz youngsters lost to both Ben Rhydding sides who were taking part. Slazengers travelled to Leeds full of confidence after a victory over the top of the league the week before. Slazengers started very slow and was subject to a period of dominance from Leeds , Slazengers scored after a rare attack which lead to a short corner, converted by Richard Tuddenham. Slazengers mens 2nd team recorded their second 1-1 draw in as many weeks on Saturday at home to Leeds. Slazengers will have been pleased with a much improved performance creating a number of chances throughout the game.
