Slazengers mens 2nd team travelled to Scarborough on Saturday and came away with a deserved 3-0 win. The game was summed up by Slazengers keeper Tom Murray who made the 160 mile round trip to not touch the ball once during the game. An attacking game for Slazengers from the start Slazengers kept the majority of the possession not giving Pudsey many opportunities. Slazengers couldn't score in the first half but came out strongly in the second half scoring a goal from a short corner and 2 goals from open play. Slazengers' under-ten boys A team made a great start to the season by finishing the opening Yorkshire Youth Hockey League tournament with an unbeaten record. Half the squad were playing in Division D last season, so the step up to Division A was a big one - but they took it in their stride to win three and draw two of their matches at the Weetwood venue in Leeds.
