Slazenger Hockey Club celebrated a remarkable feat last Saturday when all seven teams, five man's sides and two ladies, won their matches. Slazenger's clean sweep of victories represented their best weekend ever demonstrated just how far the club has pregressed in recent years. Report: 06-11-1999 – Mens 3rd’s (2) vs (1) Rotherham 4th’s

Late goal specialists Slazenger thirds came up trumps again to defeat Rotherham fourths 2-1. Slazenger worked hard to recover form a one goal deficit and Richard whawell finished off a lovely four-man move to equalise before half time. Report: 06-11-1999 – Mens 5th’s (4) vs (3) Chapeltown 4th’s

Slazenger fifths made very hard work of their away tie at Chapeltown fourths, eventually overcoming a battling host side 4-3. Scorers were Simon Hurley (2), Rob Stevens and Haydn Foster. Man of the match goalkeeper Jim Heller made some super saves including an outstanding penalty flick stop that gave Slazenger the momentum to win. Report: 01-11-1999 – Boys U12’s

Slazenger U12's were undefeated over the weekend beating Thirsk 4-6 in their first game, taking a 3-0 victory from their second with York A, sharing a goal less draw with Doncaster from game three and defeating York B 3-0 in the final game.
