Report: 12-02-2010 – Mens 3rd’s (4) vs (1) Bradford 3rd’s

Slazenger thirds returned to winning ways with a 4-1 success over Bradford's third string. Two excellent goals from Paul Wiper gave Slazenger a 2-1 half-time lead. Slazenger slumped in the middle of the game but rallied to score further goals through John Sykes who put in a high-octane performance, and Richard Whawell. Hockey Ball Throwing Machine now arrived

Slazenger HC have been very fortunate through the aid of recent sponsorships to be able to purchase the very latest state of the art ball machine used by International and National League teams throughout the World. This will allow for superb training for all in particular goalkeeping and shooting exercises. Every reason to attend training and take part using this brilliant machine. Report: 07-02-2010 – Boys U16

Slaz v York lost 0-2 (1st in league) Slaz v Driffield lost 0-3 (4th in league) Slaz v Ben Rhydding lost 0-5 (3rd in league) Slazengers were playing the top sides in the region, and were expected to struggle. However, they fought well against three very good sides, and never gave in. The first game was tight against a a good York side, eventually losing 2-0. A good series of results for the boys today: v York A 1-0 v Doncaster 2-0 v Driffield A 2-1 v Harrogate 0-0 v Leeds 0-0 We should be promoted, second behind York who won their other four games. A far more solid defensive performance this tournament, thanks in the main to Matt Feather and Rowan Tejura. Grant Puts Hockey Players on Target

JUNIOR hockey players are celebrating after netting a cash grant they hope will send their success levels soaring.The team, which is based at Slazengers Sports Club in Addingford, has been given 750 from the community chest grants scheme.Coaches and players at the team have used the cash to buy a state-of-the-art machine which automatically fires out hockey balls.Alan Perry, vice-chairman of the junior hockey section, hopes it will make a big difference to weekly coaching sessions.He said: … [Read more...] about Grant Puts Hockey Players on Target
