Slazenger 2nds gained them their first win of the season - a 7-5 success at derby foes Wakefield 3rd's. Eddie Taylor drilled in the opener for Slazenger. Wakefield replied but four-star Tim Carr was on hand to put away Slazenger's second. Slazenger’s Men’s 1st’s failed to capitalise on a strong performance the previous week and went down 4 - 3 to Richmond Men’s 1st XI, and only have themselves to blame. Slazengers Mens I kicked off their North Hockey league Division 2 EAST campaign with a well deserved 8-2 victory away at Durham City Mens I.
