Slazengers 4ths played Halifax 4's on Saturday in a nail biting match. It started well for slaz with a goal from Steve Johnson giving them a 1-0 lead and providing them with the confidence they needed to make it to the end of the 1st half on top. Slazengers mens 2nd team bounced back from successive defeats with a comprehensive 8-0 home victory over Chapeltown mens 3rds. A mix up with goalkeepers prior to the start meant that forward Jack Mumford donned the pads for the game and will have been upset to miss out on adding to his goal tally for the season. On a cold afternoon Slazenger 3's latest fixture was away at Scunthorpe against Brigg Men's 4th team. Despite a few absences due to injury and unavailability Slazengers started the match with a good tempo and immediately took the game by the scruff of the neck. With a shortage of keepers, Dan Perry donned the pads for the first time ever, to keep for the Mens 4's. Slazenger mens 4th’s travelled to away Harrogate for their most recent game. A strong team performance saw them run out 3-0 victors. Some solid team play gave Slaz the upper hand, and it was only a matter of time before the goals were scored.
