Report: 05-02-2000 – Mens 4th’s (2) vs. (2) Bradford University

Slazenger fourths secured a scrppy 2-2 draw with Bradford Univerrsity. Nine-man Bradford held off Slazenger until just beforehelf-time when Simon Hurley opened the scoring. Slazenger added a second through Ian Wiper after the break, but Brdford hit back with a couple of strikes after Slazenger lost skipper Jonathan Halliday through injury and two other players through disputed umpiring decisions. Sheffield pushed Divison 2 table-topping Slazenger all the way and denied them the three points they needed to secure promotion for the second time in three years. The game ended in a 2-2 draw.
