Slaz 4th's went to Wakefield with a very young team and came away with a share of the points. The visitors got off to a good start and took the lead through Daz Buttery. Wakefield levelled through a keeper blunder, the ball deflecting off captain Giles Field's pads for an own-goal. After losing earlier in the season to a penalty flick slaz got of to flying start and where 3.0 up after 20 minutes, playing some good hockey. By half time it was 5 - 2. Slaz started the new year with a good 4-1 victory away at York. The team were caught on the break; against the run of play, and were punished - going 1-0 down early on. Slaz got off to a slow start, not playing as well as usual, and were punished as Leeds scored 2. This early concession woke up the visiting team, who promptly began to get to work. Some stronger, more fluid passing set up Daz Buttery, to get a goal back. Slaz continued to improve and as the first half went on, Buttery netted a second, drawing the scores level.
