Slaz 4s were finally at home after 4 weeks against a much more experienced Doncaster side which would prove to be a key factor. In the first half Doncaster scored 2 goals which were deserved of the run of play as Slaz were constantly under pressure from a strong Doncaster attack. Slazengers 4s went with another young team to end their run of away trips at Brigg. In the first half Slaz fought hard but Brigg led 2-0 at the break after two breakaway goals. Slaz then continued to push and the second half was end to end but Brigg scored again to secure the win. Slazengers 4s continued their campaign away at Lindum 7th's in a tight encounter. It was a very tense first half with many short corners going Lindums way but were very well defended by Slaz. At half time both teams were positive and were wanting to score that crucial first goal which may win them the game. Slaz 4s played their first local derby of the season against Wakefield 7th's. The early encounters were close with chances coming for both side until Wakefield scored from a short corner to lead 1-0. Then the opponents struck again from a short to double their advantage. Then Slaz struck just before half time to narrow the deficit through John Sykes. Slazenger 4s started off their campaign with a deserved victory vs Worksop 2s on a sunny afternoon at home. They started off well with an end to end first half which could have resulted in either team going 3 up at the break.
