A late goal two minutes into added time secured all three points for Slazenger. Both sides played some good hockey throughout this battle, with both sides strong in midfield. Slaz absorbed some early pressure with Ben Rhydding going close on two occasions following a series of short corners. Keeper Keith Hellem helped keep the visitors at bay. Report: 16-11-2002 – Mens 3rd’s (2) vs. (3) Kings Cross

Slazenger Thirds failed to take advantage of superior posession and went down 3-2 at Kings Cross. The visitors went a goal down after a poor start and although Ian Wiper levelled matters, Slazenger found themselves 3-1 down at half-time.
