Slazenger 2nd's dissapointing run continued with their fourth defeat in five losing 6-2 away to Halifax. The Horbury team had to play the entire game with 10 men after suffeing a number of injuries the previous week. Slazenger were looking to bounce back after a poor run of recent form but were left ruing a series of missed chances as they went down 1-0 the the bottom side Thirsk. Slazenger seconds restarted their league campaign after the Christmas break and will be disappointed to have only come away with a draw against Airedale's first string.Things should have been very different after Slaz' raced into a two goal lead with barely five minutes on the clock. Slazenger seconds suffered only their third defeat of the season to a young, skilful Rotherham outfit. Slazenger got off to a dreadful start, conceding a goal with barely a minute played.
