Slazenger Men’s 2nd Team won at home 3-2 against a ten man Lincoln Roses 4th team. With Slaz beating Lincoln Roses 3rd team convincingly earlier in the season this looked like it was going to be an easy match for slaz, but it was quite the opposite. Slazenger Men’s 2nd Team lost at home to Hull University 6-5 in a thriller of a match. Hull opened the scoring with a goal within two minutes of push back, this made slaz wake up and were soon pilling the pressure on Hull and were soon on level term. Slazenger men’s 2nd team managed to keep their unbeaten record at home this season with a 4-3 win over University of Leeds 6’s. The match was a close one with some great play created by both teams but was overshadowed by disapline issues, with the match having two yellow cards and a red card. After a disappointing match last week Slazenger men’s 2nd team got back to winning ways with a difficult home match to Lincoln Roses 3s beating them 5-3. Slazenger men’s 2nd team travelled to Leeds 5th looking to follow up last weeks result with another win, but were beaten 4-2. The score line was not a fair reflection of how close the match was. From the start it was end-to-end hockey with both teams creating chances but Leeds took the lead through a well-worked team goal. It was not long however before slaz equalised.
