Slaz travelled away to Lincoln Roses 2nd team and after a hard fought game, came away with a fourth successive win, keeping them top of the table for another week. With 3 games played of the season, Slaz sit top of the table, after a fast paced, non-stop game of hockey. Slazenger's 1st team won 3-0 against Sheffield's Chapeltown's 2nd team. Slazenger mens first team continued their winning start to the season with a well deserved 4-0 away victory at Brigg Mens seconds. Slazengers controlled the game throughout and truth being told, should have won by a greater margin but for some poor finishing and excellent goalkeeping. Slazenger Mens 1st XI kicked off their league campaign with a convincing 6-1 victory over local rivals Wakefield Mens 3rd's. The first half was relatively even and although Slazengers controlled most of the possession, they found the Wakefield defence difficult to brake down.
