Slazenger mens 1st's were the only team to play on Saturday, with all other matches being cancelled due to the frost. However, the team did not dissapoint, logging a 3-0 victory over table strugglers Brigg 2nd's. The game was swift with plenty of end to end hockey, and fast passing moves, Slaz started confidently on a very cold day, against the Brigg side. Slazenger 1sts travelled away to Leeds Met Uni to face off against Leeds Adel Carnegie 3rd's. The pitch was recently relayed and provide a fast surface, to which Slazenger took to well. Some fast hockey from Slazenger showed intent, with fast darting attacks keeping Carnegie on the defensive. On Saturday, Slazenger 1st's travelled away to Old Malton, though unfortunately came away with a loss. Slaz faced tough attacks from Old Malton early on though succeeded in soaked up the pressure. Moving out of their own 25 yard area, the team looked composed, pressuring the home team, and breaking up opposition play. Slaz started off sluggish, looking outpaced by the visitors to begin with. However, as the game progressed, the team picked up speed and contested strongly against a well organised and well drilled Leeds team.
