Slazenger seconds hit top form to beat top of the table Leeds University 2-0.

J Swinden gave Slaz the lead when he converted a fre hit into the D from Walker, with Andy Birkett capping an excellent performance with a well-executed second to seal things. Man of the match was Mark Swinden.

Report: 27-11-1999 – Mens 3rd’s (0) vs (4) Leeds University 3rd’s

Slazenger thirds were out played by Leeds University thirds and crashed to a 4-0 defeat.

Slazenger conceded three goals early in the game and then fought resolutely to keep the scoring down.

Young goalkeeper Thomas Penistone deserved a lot of credit for his gutsy performance and there was an impressive display from sweeper Micky Turner. Both played key roles in keeping the score to respectable proportions.

Report: 25-09-1999 – Ladies 1st’s (6) vs (0) Leeds University

Slazenger Ladies first team continued their formidable winning form with a 6-0 drubbing of Leeds University.

Slazenger out-played their opponents and were 2-0 up by half time through goals by player of the match Holly Tyers.

Four more goals after the break by Tyers, Julie Bear, Gwyn Barnett and Andrea Wallace killed off a spirited Leeds side.

Julie Finch and Katrina Pickles were outstanding at the back for Slazenger.
