From the off, the horbury side knew this weeks match was going to be a tough one. Slazengers Ladies 1's, had a difficult game against undefeated, top of the league team, Adel. The message from our captain this weekend was WIN WIN WIN and that is what the Slazenger's ladies 2nd team set out to do from the off. The Slazenger's ladies pressed hard from the off, keeping possession in the attacking 'D'. Wakefield gained a lucky break and scored with a lifted shot into the top left corner. Going into the second round of the cup we knew things would be difficult playing against a team in a higher league. Slazengers started well with a lot of attacking play and Halifax not having much action. At half time Slazengers still couldn't get a goal in despite many opportunities.
