Slazenger Ladies 3rd’s hockey team played Doncaster at home . Both teams were quiteevenly matched which resulted in a really enjoyable end to end hockey match for players & spectators alike.Slazengers had a bit of a reshuffle & pulled Heather Bates back to assist the usual defensive duo of Julie Finch & Karen Bates. Garforth attacked from the start and forced the Slazengers midfield and defence to work hard. Slazengers quickly regained their composure and began to make some excellent passes and moves through the field. Garforth then had Slazengers under pressure when the put in the first goal. Slazengers started the game well and put pressure on Ben Rhydding from the start, Ailish Hendry capitalised on the pressure with a wonderful reverse strike which the goalkeeper had no chance of saving.
