After a positive team talk at half time, Slazengers started the second half determined to score. Nerys Rollinson and Sue Hope were working well together in midfield. Garforth, tried again to score, but fighting determination from Sarah Ritchey, Jess Lloyd and some excellent saves from Lisa Chappell, so Garforth fail to score. A free hit from Nerys Rollinson just outside the dee, so Sue Hope take a chance. Sue weaved her way through the Garforth defence, and put the first Slazenger goal in the net.
This was followed shortly by a short corner and goal from Nerys Rollinson. Garforth fought back, with numerous short corner opportunities, but the defence held there ground with some fantastic saves from Lisa Chappell. The final whistle went, with a draw of 2-2. This week the most spectacular fall goes to Laura Teasdale There were some excellent all round performances with Jess Lloyd filling in at left back and Ellie Poskett filling in centre forward. Well done again to the umpires for keeping the game flowing and to Garforth for making it such an enjoyable game.
