The game started at a strong tempo, and Slazengers quickly recognised that they were to be in for a hard afternoon’s work against a well drilled University side. Slazengers ladies 3s continued with their strong start to the new year with a 1 - 0 home victory over Chapeltown 2s. Despite losing by the same goal margin earlier in the year Slazenger's looked the stronger of the two sides. The first game back after the Christmas break saw Slazengers ladies 3s take on Tadcaster Magnets 2s in an early afternoon home fixture. Slazengers ladies 3s made the long journey to North Yorkshire to face a Pickering side in a rearranged Sunday fixture. Slazengers ladies 3s took on an in-form Lough 1s in a home fixture. Lough were favourites having made an impressive start to the season with an even more impressive goal scoring record.
