Slazengers began this second fixture of the weekend knowing a win would take them out of the relegation zone and above their opposition. Ladies 2nd's had their first win of the season against higher positioned in the league Cleckheaton. Slazenger dominated play from the start and made lots of attempts on goal including numerous penalty corners in both the first and second half. After a losing streak, tactical mastermind coach Jonny White had come up with the perfect solution to Slazenger's problems. Slaz were unlucky to come away with a loss, after enjoying the lions share of attacking opportunities in an open game at the Southfield's pitch.
