The ladies 1st team travelled to a very windy Don Valley for the 1st game of the New Year. Slaz had a score to settle after being held by Don Valley to a 2-2 draw in our first game of the season. Slazenger travelled to Durham University, where they faced a tough encounter with the top of the league team. Unfortunately, even with an impressive team performance, the came away 4-3 reversal. Slazenger went into Saturdays match looking to take their winning run into a 3rd week, only to suffer a 5-1 reversal to a clinical Roseberry side. Slaz started brightly, with some fast flowing hockey. Good build up play fed Sarah Cooper for several close efforts. Slazenger Lades 1st's picked up their second win in as many weeks with a 4-1 win over Driffield 1st's. In a fast pace game, Slaz dominated play and added another 3 points to the North League Div 2 (East) campaign.
