November 16, 2002 by Slazenger HC

Slazenger Thirds failed to take advantage of superior posession and went down 3-2 at Kings Cross.

The visitors went a goal down after a poor start and although Ian Wiper levelled matters, Slazenger found themselves 3-1 down at half-time.

The visiting side dominate after the break, despite losing Lawrence Thornton to injury and halved the deficit when Eddie Richardson finished off a lovely move involving Andy Pickles and Martin Lofthouse.

They couldnt find a third goal though and went down 3-2. Robin Whawell was outstanding for Slazenger.

Report: 30-10-1999 – Mens 2nd’s (2) vs. (0) King Cross 1st’s

October 30, 1999 by Slazenger HC

Slazenger seconds have finally found a winning formula in this year’s higher division. From the off they were the better team against a competitive King Cross. Slazenger won this Division 4 clash 2-0.

The youngest of the Swindens opened the scoring and should have had a lot more by the end of the game. Marcus Taylor scored the second with a beautifully struck short corner. Attack after attack from a quick, skillful Slazenger side combined with excellent running and vision from James Swinden opened the door,

But unfortunately Slazenger were unable to convert. The defence and goal-keeper had little to do but what they did do they did well. On Saturday, Slazenger seconds travel to Lincoln, push-back 1:30pm.
