Fielding a new squad, the Slazenger U12 Boys had mixed results in their latest round of Yorkshire Youth League Matches. In the first game they lost 1-0 against Sheffield but fought hard with Ailish Hendry making key tackles in defence, while Daniel Perry was a constand threat up front with his pace. Slazenger U12 Girls took part in their latest round of matches in the Yorkshire Youth League. They opened up with a 0-0 draw against local rivals Wakefield and followed it with a 1-1 draw with Kirklees. Philippa Secker scoring. Next was a goalless draw against Doncaster before a one-sided match against Pickering with Heather Bates and Laura Waterton both scoring. In the third of five tournaments to be held this season Slazenger U10's played in the second division for the first time after good results moved them up. It was a promising start with a 2-0 win against Chapeltown's B side, with goals from Henry Moore and Daniel Perry. Slazenger U12 Boys look set for promotion to the top division for their next tournament after a successful round of matches in the Yorkshire Youth League at Leeds Metro University last Sunday. In the first match Chris Wood scored the only goal to defeat Harrogate 1-0, but in their second match, Slaz lost by a similar score to Sheffield. Slazenger U12's took part in four Yorkshire Youth League matches at the weekend, the highlight being a 4-0 win over local rivals Wakefield. The competition started with a 0-0 draw with Pickering where they missed a number of chances to win the match, but made amends in the second match against Wakefield powering to a 4-0 win.
