A great last tournament for the U12 boys in Leeds this last Sunday 18th March. A larger than normal squad took to the last tournament with gusto. Slazenger Mens 1st's got off to a flying start, even with the 10:30 push back away at Chapeltown. Within 10 minutes, the team had secured the first goal, in what turned out to be a fast pivoting scoreline; with Slaz and Chapeltown fighinting for the upperhand. Slazenger mens 3rd's suffered a 4-1 defeat on Sunday at the hands of Chapeltown 4th's. The team fought hard, but struggled to repeat the flowing form which had created such high scoring victories of earlier rounds of the cup. The U12 boys made some good progress at their most recent tournament, gelling as a team, with some stand-out performances. We took a full eleven players includng two 'keepers, with a couple more outfielders unavailable this weekend, which bodes well. Three of the boys were at their first ever tournament. Slazenger Boys U10's travelled to Pocklington School, newly promoted, and ready to make waves in division 2. In the end they proved more than a match. With most players well under 10 years old, they are becoming a force to be rekoned with!
