Fifteen seconds was all it took for Keith Whittle to open the scoring for Slazenger and send them on their way to an exciting 4-3 win over visiting Bradford. The hosts added to this just a minute later through Butel's reverse stick shot that established a 2-0 lead in less than two minutes. Slazenger U14's enjoyed mixed fortunes in their games against Leeds, Rotherham and Bradford but there were a number of fine performers. The side beat Leeds 4-0 with Rich Hutchins, Gareth Preston and Ester Hill outstanding with some fin teamwork from Laura Simmons and Laura Teasdale on the right wing. Report: 26-01-2002 – Mens 4th’s (1) vs (2) Bradford

Slazenger fourths lost out 2-1 to fierce rivals Bradford at Addingford fields last Saturday. End-to-end hockey underpinned this fixture from start to finish. Slazenger let their guard down to concede the opening goal shortly before half time.
