Slazenger fourths lost out 2-1 to fierce rivals Bradford at Addingford fields last Saturday.
End-to-end hockey underpinned this fixture from start to finish.
Slazenger let their guard down to concede the opening goal shortly before half time. However, following a series of short corners skipper Jonathan Halliday fired a rocket past the stranded Bradford goalkeeper to equalise.
But moments before the final whistle Bradford slipped a penalty flick winner by man of the match Ricky Wilby whose excellent goalkeeping kept the scoreline.
Alan Killey spurred Slazenger on from mid-field, particularly in the first half.
