On a very wet Sunday 4th December Slazeneger's Under 12 boys took to the field at Leeds University. The game began sluggishly with both teams making some good chances on goal. Slaz look confident on the ball with good holding play from Ben Graham feeding the ball off to the runners to break the D. Slazenger 4's Development team played a spirited game against their Bradford opponents for their first fixture of the new season. Retaining possession well and working hard to regain possession when defending, the team carved out several good opportunities to score. Unfortinately, failure to convert was punished when they conceeded 2 quick goals. We had a squad of 12 boys at the KC Stadium yesterday. As the morning progressed they began to gel as a team, and made significant progress against sides which in the main were physically bigger and stronger and more experienced. Slazengers mens first team travelled to Bradford Mens first team in confident mood only to come away on the wrong end of a 5-2 scoreline. Slazengers started poorly and were quickly one down after Bradford capitalised on a Slazengers defensive error.
