It was the third game of the season for Slazengers Ladies 3s and along with it came their first point of the season against a newly promoted Tadcaster side. Slazengers dominated in the mid field however, despite this, they were unable to find the finishing touch. Slazengers travelled to Leeds Adel knowing they were in for a tough game. Adel started off strong and scored 2 goals in the first 20 minutes. Slazengers got into their stride and 2 goals before half time scored by Richard tuddenham and Dan Perry put them back in the game. The 2nd half was a tight contest. Mens 4ths travelled away to Doncaster for the late slot against the hosts' 6th string. A renewed team worked well, finding their rhythm quickly and pressing the home team. Jake Barras netted a hattrick, with James Walker taking a brace. This was followed up by further goals from Andy Fisher, Matt Banks and Harry Gunning. Doncaster fought back, scoring a solitary goal but by that time, the result was more than secure. With the Slazengers ladies prepared for a tough game in the heat they got off to a good start. Some silky passing led to an open play goal for Sue Hope taking Slazengers into the lead. The game was end to end with some brilliant attack and defence. Another goal from Sue Hope after a carfuffle at the keepers feet and Slazengers were 2 goals ahead. After a succesful 'Back to Hockey' campaign over the summer Slazenger's 4th ladies team travelled to Huddersfield with 5 of their new players. It was a great team effort the first half and Slazenger were unlucky to conceed a goal. In the second half both Claudia Barber and Megan Bird played some excellent hockey but fatigue set in and the young Dragons team were able to score twice more.
