Slazengers Mens 2nd team had a double header this weekend. Saturday saw them travel to Leeds University 2's and although putting in a below par performance, still came away with a 4-3 victory. Slazengers started well and created a number of opportunities but struggled to find the net when it seemed easier to score. Slazengers 4s continued their campaign away at Lindum 7th's in a tight encounter. It was a very tense first half with many short corners going Lindums way but were very well defended by Slaz. At half time both teams were positive and were wanting to score that crucial first goal which may win them the game. Half Term Holiday Junior Training Arrangements
As you may be aware, the Sunday training will be taking a break over the half term holidays. However, not to worry, its only for one week only! U14's tournament at Darton, vs Driffield, Chapeltown and Bradford. You know it's going to be hard day when the body mass of the opposition back four equals that of your whole team! Slazenger U10 boys opened their latest campaign with a hard fought 1-1 draw against Doncaster. A fine goal from Tyler O'Connor backed up with solid defensive work from Josh Proctor ensured honours even. Slaz followed up with two 2-1 victories over Brigg and Airedale with O'Connor (2) and Tommy Randle (2) finding the net, with Luke Minchella working tirelessly all afternoon up and down the right flank providing a number of dangerous crosses.
