Slazenger ladies seconds overcame Sheffield Ladies 2-0.
Slazenger thought they had scored after 10 minutes but the effort was disallowed.
Slazenger missed numerous chances and experienced a few escapes at the other end before Claire Mills tapped in from a rebound off the goalkeeper early in the second half.
An excellent strike by Laura Kenny 20 minutes later clenched victory for Slazenger whose player of the match was Donna Simpson following some excellent defensive play.

Slazenger ladies powered to a 7-0 success against Ben Rhydding in division 2 of the Yorkshire Women’s League.
The first three short corners produced three excellent goals for Julie Bear (2) and player of the match Lyndsay Harvey.
Sue Swinden, Jackie Cooper and Julie Finch featured strongly with their intelligent distribution and they received excellent support from Katrina Pickles and Andrea Wallace.
Slazenger piled on the pressure and added first half goals through Lyndsay Harvey and Julie Bear.
Ben Rhydding proved more difficult to break down in the second half but were unable to prevent further Slazenger scores from Gwyn Barnett and Julie Bear.

Superior organisation in midfield and defence helped Slazenger fifths to an impressive 5-2 success against Leeds fifths.
Slazenger were without injured ‘keeper Jim Heller and had to draft in ladies goalkeeper Becky Burnell whose vital saves in both halves kept Leeds down to two goals.
Slazenger’s scorers were man-of-the-match Gavin Kaye (3) and Richard Baker (2).

Slazenger 4th’s suffered a disappointing 4-1 defeat against Normanby Park.
Slazenger conceded the first goal midway through the opening half, but battled back well and a superb opportunist effort from John Sykes hauled them level.
However, they fell behind again before half time.
Slazenger improved considerably in the second half but despite super attempts from father and son, Ian and Paul Wiper, Slazenger were unable to add to their tally.
And Nomanby fired back with two more goals to make the game safe.
Alan Killey was Slazenger’s man-of-the-match and there were also strong perfomances from Jonathan Halliday and Ian Gordon.

Slazenger thirds were out played by Leeds University thirds and crashed to a 4-0 defeat.
Slazenger conceded three goals early in the game and then fought resolutely to keep the scoring down.
Young goalkeeper Thomas Penistone deserved a lot of credit for his gutsy performance and there was an impressive display from sweeper Micky Turner. Both played key roles in keeping the score to respectable proportions.
