Slazenger men’s 1, returned to winning ways with a well deserved 7-4 victory away at Harrogate in a game that was a mix between great hockey and heavy challenges. Slazenger Mens 2nd's put in a five-star performance to return to winning ways with a 5-4 victory over Boston Spa at the weekend. Slazenger U12's had mixed results from their first tournament of the season. They worked hard for a goalless draw with Leeds Adel Carnegie, then saw off Halifax 2-1 with goals from Matthew Smith and Isaac Fisher but subsequent games against Leeds, Hull and derby foes Wakefield were lost by a single goal. Slazenger 2nd's progressed to the next round of the Yorkshire League B Cup with a deserved 6-4 win at Leeds Adel Carnegie 4ths. James Walker gave Slazenger the lead midway through the first half while Ben Graham was thwarted several times by the LA keeper. It was end to end stuff in the second half. Sorry Slazenger suffered a disappointing 5-4 defeat at the hands of LA Carnegie. Slazenger trailed 5-0 towards the latter stages of the first half after stating poorly and struggling to contain Leeds Adel. But Slazenger improved as the half wore on and pulled back a couple of goals before the break through Rich Hutchins.
