Slazenger Mens 2nd's promotion hopes took a battering when they lost 6-4 at home to Airedale. The home side came back from a goal down to take the lead with goals from Ben Graham and Tim Carr but Airedale leveled the scores just before half-time. Isaac Fisher netter the winner in their clash with Hull, while a brace from Joseph Shaw saw them run out 2-0 winners against Thirsk and Jenson Brook gave them a share of the spoils in their clash with Leeds. Slazenger Boys U10's continued their unbeaten start to the Yorkshire Youth Hockey Association's six-a-side competition with four more wins from games played at Outwood Grange College on Sunday. William Copley broke the deadlock for a 1-0 first game win over Bradford. Tim Carr and Paul Wiper both scored hat tricks as Slazenger seconds romped to a 9-2 friendly win over Bradford. Slazenger went a goal down early in the first half, but two foals from Wiper in the last ten minutes of the first half gave the Horbury men the upper hand.
