Slazenger Hockey club maintains a structured training schedule for all ages. Training is spread across the week, allowing plenty of time for each section of the club to hone their skills. Men's 1st's (1) vs. (2) Leeds 4th'sThe men’s 1st team faced Leeds HC in their second game of the season, Leeds had most of the possession in the first 15 minutes but slaz held strong and pressed hard keeping them in their own half.Slazenger got the first dangerous attack of the half but nothing came of it. Ladies 2nds (0) vs. (1) Leeds Adel 3rd'sToday was the start of the new season with Slazenger 2s playing Adel. We started well with attacking flare and spread the ball around, however, we just seemed to lack the killer finish. Adel came back into the game at the end of the first half, and put Slaz under serious pressure. Men's 1st's (3) vs. (5) Wakefield 2nd'sSlazenger’s spotlight game against a big local rival, Wakefield, was a neck and neck game, with some fantastic hockey played. The game started off well with Slazenger’s having the majority possession, and a few good opportunities early on. Against a run of play, Wakefield won a corner, scoring with a drag flick.
