Slazenger travelled to Rotherham expecting a hard game but seemed to make it hard for themselves in the first half. The ladies 3rd string travelled away to York, and came away with a hard fought & well earned draw. The game was an end to end affair, with periods of extended pressure from both sides. Slazenger U12 boys continued their good start to the season this weekend with some confident performances, Slazengers A (1) Leeds A (1) Slazengers once again seemed to dominate the game and took the lead through a well taken goal from Matthew Chilton, they continued to press and just got caught off guard within the final few minutes to concede a goal against the run off play, this turned out to be a respectable result as the Leeds team went on to win all their other games. Slaz mens 3's had no regular league fixture on Saturday, so played their Sunday cup fixture instead. Their opposition, Brigg 4's had been defeated in the league 7-0 already, so Slaz were hoping to equal their previous result. Brigg's recently laid pitch delivered quick ball movement, however, it also led to the ball bouncing and bobbling, making for fast, if slightly unpredictable behaviour.
