The men's 1st team match was an ill tempered game. However, the game started well and didn't resemble the debacle that followed. Slazenger's 3's last league fixture of the year was at home against Brigg 4's. Having beaten them twice already in league and cup this season the home team went into the match with confidence but aware that they couldn't be complacent. Slazenger 5's faced a tough encounter against a physical and quick Worksop team. Despite this it was Slazengers that started the brighter with neat passing interplay and people making themselves available for passes. Despite bad weather for the past 3 weeks preventing training sessions, and some new players in the team, Slazengers was off to a strong start, with Gemma Whittam scoring the first goal of the match within the first few minutes. Report: 09-12-2012 – Girls U12’s Tournament
The 3rd tournament of the season was held last weekend and saw the girls putting in some great performances to finish top of their league. They were beaten only by Thirsk in a very close match with a final score of 3:2, but in all their other games came out on top. They will now progress to league D, and hopefully with a higher standard of opposition we will see them up their game even further.
