Slaz began with good ball movement around the pitch pitch but the tempo was not high enough to cause Normanby a problem. Similarly Normanby didn't look strong on the ball but moved forward fast. Slazenger had prepared well for the forthcoming trip to local rivals Huddersfield Dragons with the vast majority of squad members available, however had a significant setback the morning of the trip when Vice Captain Sarah Hobbs dropping out early doors due to food poisoning. Slazengers mens 2nd team travelled to Hull 3's on Saturday looking to continue their unbeaten start to the season and did just that, coming away with a well deserved 4-1 victory down mainly to a strong 2nd half performance. Things have been going so well for the ladies 2nd team could it continue for another week?? The game started well and it wasn't long before Slazengers first goal but then not long after disaster struck and Heckmondwike scored. Only the second goal this season to be scored against us!
