Report: 11-10-2014 – Ladies 1st’s (1) vs. (4) Kingston-Upon-Hull 1st’s

October 11, 2014 by Slazenger HC

Slazengers started out very positive with excellent distribution from Frankie Tyrell and Sarah Hobbs but were unable to connect with the back board. Hull continued to turn up the heat and scored 2 goals from a short corner and rigorous game play.

Half time allowed Slazengers to gather feedback from subs and from the onset into the last 35 minutes they were driven to giving more towards their attack.

Hull again managed to score but this was a short lived celebration as we managed to hit the back board with Helen Houghs strike. This gave Slazengers much confidence and allowed them to keep up the pressure missing opportunities on goal only by a small margin. The second half was much improved but the end result was 4-1. Man of the match Frankie Tyrell for an outstanding performance.
