The game got off to a good tempo from both teams moving the ball around very well and creating good attacking chances early on.
Both defences held off the final chances well. Adam Drake had a good solid game in defence.
Harrogate took the lead in the first half with a successful short corner routine that found the side netting. Slaz fought back before the end of the first half to equalise form a short corner goal by Mark Swindon.
Man of the match Jimmy Swindon had a great game chasing down the opposition in their half and created numerous chances for himself, but was unable to capitalise but made good viewing for the spectators. Harrogate capitalised on further short corners making the score 3-1.
The game was close and battled for until the final whistle, as it felt like a goal could have been coming at any time in the second half from the slaz forwards who continued to create good chances.
Robin Brearton and Matt Middleton both had excellent games against a good opposition and kept calm under pressure.
