Slazengers Men’s 2nd team travelled to University of Leeds on Saturday knowing they were facing a team pushing for promotion. As they expected it was a tough match with Leeds uni winning the match 6-2. Slaz managed to hold out for the first twenty minutes but the home side were to strong and were soon 3-0 up going in at half time.The second half started as the first ended with Leeds uni scoring two gaols to make it 5-0. Slaz however got themselves back into the match with two quick gaols, the first was scored by Simon Randall. Robin Whawell won the ball near the Leeds uni D and passed the ball through the defence to Simon to score with a shot across goal.
Matt Banks who finished off a slaz attack with an unstoppable strike scored the second. Leeds then scored a sixth goal to kill the game. Tony Walker won man of the match.
