Slazenger Ladies first string kept its nerve on the coast to net the side’s first away win of the season in the Yorkshire Premier League.
Scarborough were an improved team than the side Slazenger met earlier in the season, though they did concede a goal in the first ten minutes. A cross from Claire Mills set Holly Tyers up to score.
The seasiders retaliated quickly and were awarded a penalty corner that they converted. Play was eventually marched for the remainder of the first half, but aftyer the break Mills scored over the goalkeeper to nudge Slazenger ahead only for the visitors defence to concede a second, converted corner.
The game looked set for a draw when a well-placed cross from Lisa Minchella gave Gwyn Barnett the chance to tuck away the winner
