Report: 17-11-2001 – Ladies 1st’s (5) vs. (1) Skipton and Airedale

November 17, 2001 by Slazenger HC

Slazenger Ladies firsts netted maximum Premier Division points with an outstanding 5-1 win over Skipton and Airedale.

The teams looked pretty evenly matched early on before Holly Tyers nosed Slazenger ahead on half-time.

Slazenger were much the more eager of the two teams in the second half and their desire paid off with further goals for Rachel White (2) and Tyers who completed a sensational hat-trick.

Skipton and Airedale rallied sufficiently to score a consolation goal late on.

Player of the match Jacks denied Skipton and Airedale the space they needed in midfield to get back in the game while Julie Finch was solid at the back.
