Slazenger kick off their East Pennine League Division 2 campaign with a disappointing result on home turf.
Slazenger started off well enough but were unfortunate to concede a goal just before half time when they should have been 2-0 up.
The hosts added a second to their tally within minutes of the second half re-start, but Halifax built up the pressure sufficiently to level.
And as Slazenger’s frustrations mounted two players were send off leaving nine players to hold out for the draw.
It was never likely to happen and Slazenger conceded two more in quick succession and a late brace left the home side facing a four goal margin of defeat.
Slazenger travel to Sheffield Bankers on Saturday, push back 1:30pm.
