A keenly-contested West Yorkshire derby ended in a 3-1 win for Slazenger thirds over Leeds University fourths.
Micky Turner scored twice and the ever-alert Andy Auty finished off a great run by Richard Whawell for the third.
Slazenger did, however need the experience and great goalkeeping skills of Thomas Penistone to keep them in front.
