Report: 06-11-1999 – Mens 2nd’s (3) vs. (1) Lincoln

Slazenger seconds’ kept their winning run intact – even after a 140 mile round trip to Lincoln. Slazenger won 3-1.

Good running and a clinical pass from Birkett allowed Alec Gilston to score the opener.

Ben Graham had a go from just inside the D and his reverse stick and a bobble beat the goal-keeper.

In the second half it was down to man of the match Bagshaw to stop the advancing Lincoln from scoring more than once.

Birkett tucked away the killer third at the end of a daring run into the D at the advancing goalkeeper.

Slazenger seconds are at home on Saturday against Halifax, push back 1.30pm.
