Slazengers ladies 1's travelled to Sheffield on saturday with high moral after their last victory. A tough game from the start with things being fairly even until nearly half time when York managed to score. The game started at a strong tempo, and Slazengers quickly recognised that they were to be in for a hard afternoon’s work against a well drilled University side. Top of the league Bankers scored four times in the first half. Slazengers started the second half positively and managed to maintain the scoreline for the first 20 minutes with some excellent tackles by defenders Karen Bates and Julie finch. Slazengers mens 2'nd team made it 3 wins from 3 with a well earned 6-2 win against Scarborough. Slazengers started brightly and immediately put Scarborough under pressure with the keeper making a number of good saves to keep the scores level. It pressure paid off however when Simon Randall converted after good work from Dan Atkinson down the right wing.
