Ladies 1st's Ladies 1st's hosted Kingston Upon Hull 1st's on Saturday. Hull sit comfortably 2nd in the table and it looked like Slaz were in for a tough afternoon, however in the end it was Hull who struggled and were lucky to hang on for a draw. Mens 1st's (3) vs. (3) Leeds Adel 1st's The firsts set out well against this weeks opposition, keen to make up for a bumpy fixture the week prior. Face Masks for Club Players
Face masks are increasingly being used in hockey for short corners, to protect all 4 defenders. It was recently decided by the Yorkshire Youth League that it will be mandatory for Under 14 and Under 16 teams to wear face masks to defend short corners. Based on recommendations from England Hockey, Slazenger HC have also arranged face masks for U10 and U12 teams.
