A superb performance by Captain and man of the match Jonny Walker steered Slazenger seconds to a brilliant 2-0 win over arch rivals Chapeltown seconds. Andy Birkett benefited from Slazenger's superiority with an early goal and fine creative play by Simon Taylor and James Swinden kept Slazenger in the ascendancy. Failure to turn a second half dominance into goals saw Slazenger drop their first Yorkshire League points of the season after a disappointing 1-1 draw at home to David Brown. slazenger Ladies firsts celebrated a 5-1 victory over Bedale, a match played at Catterick Garrison and a result that stretched Slazenger's unbeaten run to eight. Slazenger, who have yet to be beaten this season imposed their game straight from the whistle and were rewarded for their efforts with a well deserved goal from Gwyneth Barnett.
