Slazenger seconds recorded a fine 4-1 victory over Doncaster fourths. A superb strike from man of the match Mark Swinden set the standard. Other goals followed in the second half from brother James Swinden, veteran Ashley Smith and Andy Birkett. Their three-goal victory over Hull YPI was as comfortable as they come. Report: 05-02-2000 – Mens 4th’s (2) vs. (2) Bradford University

Slazenger fourths secured a scrppy 2-2 draw with Bradford Univerrsity. Nine-man Bradford held off Slazenger until just beforehelf-time when Simon Hurley opened the scoring. Slazenger added a second through Ian Wiper after the break, but Brdford hit back with a couple of strikes after Slazenger lost skipper Jonathan Halliday through injury and two other players through disputed umpiring decisions.
