Slazenger's Development team finished off the season in style with an impressive performance against local rivals Barnsley. Slazengers mens first team travelled to Bradford Mens first team in confident mood only to come away on the wrong end of a 5-2 scoreline. Slazengers started poorly and were quickly one down after Bradford capitalised on a Slazengers defensive error. Sunday 3rd April – Road Closure – Last training session
The Wakefield 10k run takes place on Sunday 3rd of April. Horbury bypass will be closed to all traffic between 9am and 10am. Players arriving for the first 9.15am session will need to either arrive before 9am at the club, or park off the bypass and walk to the club. Sunday saw Slazengers mens first team play their second game of the weekend against Leeds Adel Carnegie 3's. Slazengers dominated much of the possession in the first half only to see Adel take a lead off a quick break. Slazengers equalised through Richard Tuddenham and continued to press but Adel held out till half time.
